I guess he could have pounded Bin Laden, just as our current administration could have as well instead of concentrating its efforts on an Iraq that was stable before the war. Which just so happened to be the last time we had affordable pices on many items including gasoline. Our economic woes are due to this administration..not just NAFTA...and remember that Senate wasn't all Dems. I guess they are responsible for a housing market that is at its lowest since Bush 1 as well...So let's see...Hell yes I want any President that isn't a Republican.
...And if you ain't down with that, I got 2 words for ya....

I want a prez that knows what the predominant, typical family deals with on a day-to-day basis. One who knows that the average family lives on a budget - we can't default or raise taxes when we need to. One who knows the daily grind of working a REAL job. One who has experienced the art of balancing work, being involved with his kids. One who knows DAILY sacrifice. One who struggles and manages to raise and support a family without a nanny. One who doesn't know the taste of Dom Perignon, but is acquainted with the taste of Old Milwaukee. Don't give a rip what party he is - just that he knows the struggles of the vast middle class of this country, has been there and dealt with them.

That's my opinion, and please, feel free to make it yours!

Here is an excellent example, Georgia has water problems and the Army CoE is following orders, isn't it time somebody stepped in and drew a line?
"We've learned from this what a blunt weapon the Endangered Species Act has become," said state Rep. John Linder. "We need to understand this lake was created not for mussels but for people." http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21393296/
They are being forced to release large amounts of water, both for electricity generation and for a mussel on the red list. But they could probably get the power somewhere else in the short-run, and when it comes to Atlanta running out of water or a mussel....well I'd like to keep it, but I'd rather keep folks healthy. Where is the veto pen and the chick that was vowing to get another bill up for kids free health care in 2 weeks, now? You got it- worrin' about how to sell the presidential election. Perhaps if we all quit for a month and their garbage piled up, and they couldn't get the police if they needed them, or the lights didn't come on, they might see a little light. Or if some of the Georgia farmers quit, they could eat their stocks. Never happen, but it would be quite funny.

Re: Clinton Proposes 401(k)s, Matching Funds

What we need is a president who is for the people of these United States and doesn't worry about how he can trade with China and build them into an even greater Super Power. And we will not get that with either a Dem or Rep as evidenced by past records. Both parties have done nothing but tear this antion down and make the working class nothing more than indentured servants. The Constitution Party, I believe, would return the US to Constitutional rule. And they will have a very good chance if the American people will get off their hands and cast their votes.

The United States is properly a free and sovereign republic which should strive to live in peace with all nations, without interfering in their internal affairs, and without permitting their interference in ours. We are, therefore, unalterably opposed to entangling alliances - via treaties, or any other form of commitment - which compromise our national sovereignty, or commit us to intervention in foreign wars.

We affirm the integrity of the international borders of the United States and the Constitutional authority and duty of the federal government to guard and to protect those borders, including the regulation of the numbers and of the qualifications of immigrants into the country.

Article I, Section 8, of the Constitution states that Congress shall have the power "To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations." Congress may not abdicate or transfer to others these Constitutional powers. We oppose, therefore, the unconstitutional transfer of authority over U.S. trade policy from Congress to agencies, domestic or foreign, which improperly exercise policy-setting functions with respect to U.S. trade policy.

We favor the abolition of the Office of Special Trade Representative, and insist on the withdrawal of the United States from the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), the World Trade Organization (WTO), and all other agreements wherein agencies other than the Congress of the United States improperly assume responsibility for establishing American trade policies.

It is a primary obligation of the federal government to provide for the common defense, and to be vigilant regarding potential threats, prospective capabilities, and perceived intentions of potential enemies.

We oppose unilateral disarmament and dismemberment of America's defense infrastructure. That which is hastily torn down will not be easily rebuilt.

We condemn the presidential assumption of authority to deploy American troops into combat without a declaration of war by Congress, pursuant to Article I, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution.

Under no circumstances would we commit U.S. forces to serve under any foreign flag or command. We are opposed to any New World Order, and we reject U.S. participation in or a relinquishing of command to any foreign authority.

From the Constitution Party Platform....
"We cannot expect the Americans to jump from capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving Americans small doses of socialism until they suddenly awake to find they have Communism."
- Soviet Leader Nikita Khrushchev, 1959

Welcome to the USSA!

AHHHH, there is where this train of thought gets off the track- the ole EC , well paid hemmorids sell off the votes to the well paying "special interest groups". We can vote till we get blue in the face and they will smile and vote for the best paying, best lying bunch. Sorta like being in trouble and hiring a smooth talking lawyer. Shooting a few at the top would be a good place to start. The gent from NY was kinda funny, giving the illegals drivers licenses. "Hey, the Mexicans didn't swin to NY, talk to the Texans. At least they would be counted?" But then they have a LEGAL ID. Goes back to what I said all along, the folks that run this place are more than willing to turn their head, as long as the illegal labor forces us to take cuts, carry all the social programs and doesn't stop them from giving themselves a raise. If I was a rich as Bush or Clinton, it might not seem as big a deal. But when we elected the first Bush, we got a guy that crashed a plane into the sea, close enough to a sub so he barely got wet. First waste of Gov't funds, seems to have formed a trait. But ,except for maybe the good sense to leave Iraq, we aren't gonna gain much. Bush has made the next election easier to pick than the Tenn/Bama game- today. The steel industry can't fill the orders to rebuild the Army...wonder what part of this blunder the CinC forgot to check. Ha, the border fence is being built with some Chinese steel. I guess if the kids on here really want to know what built this country, they will have to go to a museum.
